Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State has pledged to adopt the Federal Government’s digital innovations to enhance the state’s civil service.
Zulum made this known during a courtesy visit by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, in Maiduguri on Wednesday.
He praised the federal reforms, including Service-Wise GPT, digitised circulars, and the public service newsletter, and vowed to domesticate these programmes for greater administrative efficiency.
The governor also highlighted efforts to provide institutional housing for heads of federal agencies operating in Borno, ensuring federal rather than personal ownership.
Walson-Jack, in turn, lauded Zulum’s commitment to civil service reforms, citing the implementation of a N70,000 minimum wage and improved healthcare access for workers.
She called for Borno’s adoption of Service-Wise GPT and reiterated the Federal Government’s commitment to digitizing civil service operations.
