Global technology firm Zoho Corporation has launched Zia Hubs, a new Artificial Intelligence (AI) tool designed to help organisations extract and utilise up to 80 per cent of corporate information stored in unstructured formats.
In a statement, Zoho’s Head of Nigeria, Kehinde Ogundare, explained that Zia Hubs is embedded within Zoho WorkDrive, the company’s cloud content management platform. Unlike structured data stored in spreadsheets or databases, unstructured data—such as emails, call transcripts, PDFs, and social media exchanges—is harder to process with traditional tools.
Ogundare said Zia Hubs employs AI and natural language processing to convert this data into actionable insights. Users can search, analyse, and retrieve information with full citations, regardless of the original file format.
“Users can create dedicated ‘hubs’ for specific projects or teams, uploading diverse file types such as documents, spreadsheets, images, audio, and video content,” Ogundare noted. “Zia, our proprietary AI engine, automatically groups related headings, paragraphs, and visuals to maintain context.”
The tool can also transcribe multimedia files, timestamp key moments, and link them to relevant topics, enabling staff to access critical sections directly. When a question is posed, Zia retrieves answers across formats, offering clickable references back to the original material.
Additionally, Zia Hubs integrates content from third-party platforms like DocuSign, RingCentral, and Zoom via Zoho Flow, allowing a unified search experience across various data sources without compromising user permissions.
Ogundare emphasised that this feature offers organisations a single search interface across multiple repositories, enhancing efficiency while maintaining data security.
