The Rivers State Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas, has authorised the payment of salaries for state civil servants, pensioners, and all suspended political appointees.
The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Professor Ibibia Worika, confirmed this in a statement issued to journalists in Port Harcourt on Friday. He stated that the payment covers salaries for March 2025.
Worika noted that this move aligns with the administrator’s commitment to ensuring the welfare of the state’s workforce. He further stated that Ibas had instructed the state’s Accountant General to facilitate immediate disbursement of the funds without delay.
