
Dr. Ike Neliaku has been re-elected as President and Chairman of Council of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) for another two-year term.
His re-election took place on Thursday during the ongoing 2025 NIPR Annual Conference in Uyo. Dr. Neliaku was first re-elected as a member of the Governing Council by members of the institute and subsequently returned as President by the Electoral College.
Professor Emmanuel Dandaura was also re-elected as Vice President. Additionally, fifteen other public relations professionals from across the country were elected to the Governing Council.
The newly elected members are: Mr. Akin Agbejule (Niger), Mrs/ Olubunmi Badejo (FCT), Professor Kate Omenugha (Anambra), Malam Bashir Chedi (Kaduna), Dr. Saudat Abdulbaqi (Kwara), and Mr. Ini Essien (Akwa Ibom).
Others include Malam Kabir Kobi (Bauchi), Pastor Paulinus Nsirim (Rivers), Professor Sarah Lwahas (Plateau), Mr. Adaramola Temitope (Ogun), and Dr Adewale Oyekanmi (Osun).
Also elected were Chief Patrick Uka (Delta), Mr. Sajoh Ibrahim (Adamawa), Ms. Comfort Nwankwo, and Mr. Olusegun McMedal (Lagos).
The newly constituted council will oversee the affairs of the NIPR for the next two years.
