The Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA) has urged employers, job seekers, and stakeholders to participate in the 2025 Job Fair, which aims to empower Nigeria’s workforce and drive economic growth.
Speaking on Wednesday in Lagos, NECA’s Director-General, Adewale-Smatt Oyerinde, announced that the annual Job and Employability Fair is scheduled for 15 May.
He described the event as a strategic initiative designed to bridge the gap between employers and job seekers. “The fair will provide a crucial opportunity to reduce unemployment and equip Nigeria’s workforce with digital skills necessary for success in the evolving job market,” he said.
Oyerinde outlined key aspects of the event, including career development sessions offering self-paced e-learning opportunities, networking hubs connecting job seekers with top employers, and on-the-spot interviews to facilitate immediate recruitment.
The fair will also feature expert panel discussions on the future of work, digital transformation, and workforce readiness, as well as exhibitions showcasing companies, training institutes, and digital innovation hubs.
“These elements will provide attendees with valuable resources and opportunities,” Oyerinde stated.
