Judiciary Union Halts Indefinite Action in Benue

The Benue State branch of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) has suspended its indefinite strike action.

This was announced in a memo signed by the JUSUN Chairman, Mr. Terlumun Aba, and addressed to the Chief Registrar of the State High Court, directors in the Ministry of Justice, and judiciary staff.

The union commenced the strike on 6 December 2024 over the non-implementation of the new minimum wage.

According to the memo, the union’s National Headquarters approved the suspension following a positive response from the Benue State Government.

“The Chairman, Comrade Terlumun Aba, has directed all judiciary staff in the state to cease the strike and resume work on Wednesday, 23 April 2025,” the memo stated.

The union appreciated staff for their cooperation during the strike period.
