Jobberman, Mastercard Foundation Push for Inclusive, Strategic HR Practices

Jobberman Nigeria, in collaboration with the Mastercard Foundation, has called on HR professionals to adopt innovative strategies in talent acquisition, employee retention, and workforce development to drive business growth.

This message was delivered at the recent HR Fusion series held on Friday in Lagos, themed “Effective Talent Management for Business Growth.”

The HR Fusion series is a platform that connects recruiters, HR managers, business leaders, and entrepreneurs, providing insights into sustainable HR strategies and emerging industry trends.

Samantha Ifezulike, Head of People and Culture at Jobberman Nigeria, said the event came at a critical time as the workplace continues to evolve. She highlighted Jobberman’s job centres across 14 states and its self-skilling initiatives aimed at preparing organisations for the future of work.

“These discussions are crucial, but so are the connections we foster,” she said. “We also offer free job listings and access to trained talent nationwide as part of our mission to improve employment outcomes for young people, especially women and persons with disabilities.”

Yemi Faseun, Chief Talent Officer of YF Talent Partners, stressed the need for HR to play an advisory role, guiding line managers through the entire employee life cycle and helping bridge generational gaps in a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous (VUCA) world.

“Understanding the younger generation is key. We must lead with empathy, trust, and purpose,” he added.

Babajide Anjorin, Head of Marketing at Jobberman, underscored the importance of inclusive workplaces, noting that every qualified person—regardless of gender or disability—should be given the opportunity to contribute.

“Inclusion drives creativity, innovation, and performance. When people feel valued, they perform better,” he said.

Jobberman is Nigeria’s leading recruitment and career development platform, connecting qualified candidates to opportunities and supporting businesses in building future-ready teams.
