FUTH Lafia Warns Job Seekers Against Fake Employment Syndicates

By Mariam Aligbeh

The management of the Federal University Teaching Hospital (FUTH), Lafia, has warned job seekers to beware of fraudsters posing as hospital officials and offering fake employment opportunities in exchange for money.

The warning was contained in a statement issued on Friday in Lafia by the hospital’s Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Ruth Namo. She said the management’s attention had been drawn to reports of individuals defrauding unsuspecting applicants under the guise of helping them secure jobs at the hospital.

“The general public should beware of fraudsters. Anyone who gives money to any individual in the name of getting employment in FUTH Lafia does so at their own risk,” Namo said.

She stressed that the hospital would work closely with security agencies to identify and apprehend those involved in the scam, adding that such activities tarnish the institution’s image and integrity.

Namo further clarified that FUTH Lafia does not demand or accept money from job applicants at any stage of its recruitment process.
“Whenever the hospital intends to employ, it will make an official announcement through verified channels. No applicant will be asked to pay before being employed,” she stated.
