The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) on Wednesday decorated 32 officers in Kaduna following their successful completion of the 2025 promotion exercise.
The beneficiaries comprised four senior officers, with the remaining drawn from the intermediate and junior cadres.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Sector Commander of the FRSC Kaduna Command, Tijjani Iliyasu, said the promotion was strictly merit-based, having followed both written examinations and oral interviews designed to elevate the most qualified candidates.
He commended the Federal Government for approving the exercise, noting that the promotion would further boost the Corps’ efforts to reduce road accidents and enhance service delivery.
“To whom much is given, much is expected. We expect these officers to redouble their efforts and continue to give their best in the discharge of their duties, so that Nigerians will feel the impact of their promotion,” Iliyasu said.
The Zonal Commanding Officer, RS1HQ Kaduna, Ahmed Umar, explained that the exercise would also involve redeployments, with some officers expected to assume greater responsibilities.
Responding on behalf of the promoted officers, Aguwa Athanasius expressed gratitude to the Federal Government and the Corps Marshal, Shehu Muhammad, for recognising and rewarding their dedication. He pledged that the officers would remain committed to their duties.
