FG Launches Massive Recruitment Drive for 30,000 Paramilitary Jobs Nationwide

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced the commencement of a nationwide recruitment exercise to fill 30,000 vacancies across four key paramilitary agencies in Nigeria.

According to a public statement, the recruitment exercise covers the Nigerian Correctional Service, Nigeria Immigration Service, Federal Fire Service, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC). The online application portal will open on Thursday, 26 June 2025.

The board stated that the exercise aims to strengthen the capacity of these services in line with national security and public safety objectives. Vacancies are available across various ranks within the superintendent, inspectorate, and assistant cadres. Professionals in fields such as engineering, medicine, and nursing are also encouraged to apply for specialised roles.

Applicants must possess qualifications ranging from a bachelor’s degree to the West African Senior School Certificate, depending on the position.

Applications must be submitted online via the CDCFIB official portal. The board cautioned that candidates may only apply to one agency; multiple applications will result in disqualification.

Eligibility criteria include being Nigerian by birth and presenting original academic and professional certificates during the recruitment process. Applicants must be physically and mentally fit, with medical certification from a recognised government hospital. They must also be of good character, with no criminal convictions or financial embarrassments.

Applicants must be aged between 18 and 35. Male applicants must have a minimum height of 1.65 metres, while females must be at least 1.60 metres tall. The minimum chest measurement for male candidates is 0.87 metres. All qualifications must be from recognised institutions.

The application process will remain open for three weeks from the date of publication.

The board emphasised that submission of false information, failure to meet the requirements, or any attempt to influence the process will result in automatic disqualification.
