The Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) has extended the deadline for job applications to Monday, March 17, 2025, giving more time for eligible Nigerians to apply for vacancies in the Federal Civil Service. The initial deadline was March 10, as earlier announced on the FCSC website.
Speaking on the extension, FCSC Chairman, Prof. Tunji Olaopa, said the decision was made to allow more qualified candidates to participate in the recruitment process. He made this known in a statement issued on Monday by Mr. Taiwo Hassan, the Head of Press and Public Relations.
“The updated information has been published in The Sun and The Nation on March 10, and it will also appear in Daily Trust on March 11,” he said.
Olaopa urged all eligible Nigerians to take advantage of the new deadline and submit their applications. “The FCSC remains committed to a transparent and merit-based recruitment process,” he added.
The commission had initially advertised the vacancies in major newspapers and on its official website, www.fedcivilservice.gov.ng, as part of efforts to attract qualified candidates. With the extension, more applicants now have the opportunity to complete their submissions before the final deadline.
