Ebonyi State Governor, Mr. Francis Nwifuru, has announced a Christmas bonus of N150,000 for all civil servants in the state.
The governor made the announcement on Sunday during a church service at the Government House Chapel in Abakaliki.
Speaking at the service, Mr. Nwifuru said the bonus underscored his administration’s commitment to improving the welfare of workers across the state. He noted that the decision was taken despite the limited revenue generated by Ebonyi State over the past year.
“This gesture is part of our dedication to supporting our workers, who have continued to serve with diligence and commitment,” the governor said.
The announcement is expected to bring relief and cheer to the state’s workforce, particularly as families prepare for the Christmas festivities.
