Nigerian technology firm, The Degree Digital Hub, has unveiled its Direct Digital Sales Agent (DDSA) application—a platform aimed at expanding financial inclusion and generating employment opportunities across key sectors of the economy.
Speaking at the launch in Lagos, Chief Executive Officer Niyi Dopamu described the DDSA app as a departure from traditional job-matching services. According to him, it offers agents direct access to tasks and instant payment upon completion, eliminating the need for formal employer interaction as all activities are conducted within the platform.
Dopamu said the app consolidates job opportunities from industries such as agriculture, banking, hospitality, education, and insurance. Users are categorised into three tiers—basic, premium, and ultimate—based on their qualifications, with each level granting access to progressively specialised roles.
“Basic-level agents can undertake general tasks requiring minimal qualifications, while premium and ultimate users can access more technical jobs, including those needing certifications in sectors like finance and marine services,” he explained.
Segun Agunbiade, Chief Operating Officer of The Degree Digital Hub, emphasised the platform’s potential to bridge the gap between job seekers and corporate organisations.
He said the DDSA app would facilitate assignments in banking, micro-insurance, sales, and field activation, among others. He also noted the platform’s strategic focus on underserved populations, particularly at the grassroots level, through partnerships with agent aggregators and local business networks.
According to Agunbiade, the initiative is designed to ensure that employment opportunities reach Nigerians from varied educational backgrounds.
