CAC Holds Monthly Fitness Session to Promote Staff Health and Productivity

By Mariam Aligbeh

The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) on Saturday held its monthly workout session in Abuja as part of efforts to improve staff health, boost morale, and enhance productivity. The Registrar-General, Mr. Hussaini Magaji, said the initiative was introduced to ensure workers remain fit and better equipped to deliver efficient services to Nigerians.

Speaking during the early-morning fitness session, in which he participated, Mr. Magaji said regular workouts have improved employees’ physical and mental well-being, leading to visible improvements in performance. He said the Commission aims to build an active, motivated, and service-oriented workforce.

“We thank you for always honouring our invitation and being part of this routine exercise. We know how important it is to feed and strengthen the body,” he said.

The Registrar-General noted that previous challenges had affected staff output but stressed that the wellness programme has begun to reverse that trend. “Staff are healthier, active and productive. The morale across the Commission is higher,” he said.

Mr. Magaji added that improved physical activity has contributed to better service delivery in the Commission. He urged other government agencies to adopt similar wellness initiatives and encouraged Nigerians to embrace exercise for both physical and mental well-being.

Also speaking, Mrs. Nkechi Osakwe, who represented the CAC Sports Committee, said the monthly workout was approved to support staff welfare and workplace efficiency.

“A healthy body is a happy body, and a happy body can deliver the mandate of the Commission. A sick body cannot come to work,” she said.

She added that the programme has encouraged staff to pay more attention to fitness and overall wellness.

The monthly workout forms part of the CAC’s ongoing efforts to build a healthy, motivated, and productive workforce.
