The Frangipani Concrete Business School (FCBS) has reiterated its commitment to empowering Nigerian youths with market-relevant skills to help them access global employment opportunities.
In a statement issued on Tuesday in Port Harcourt, the school’s founder, Dr Francis Matthew, said the initiative aims to combat unemployment and deter irregular migration among young Nigerians.
He noted that the school, certified by the Skills Development Council of Canada and the Continuous Professional Development Europe, offers training in globally sought-after skills.
“In the face of rising youth unemployment and brain drain, FCBS offers a scalable and sustainable workforce development model,” Matthew said.
He added that the school would offer training in skilled trades, teaching, hospitality, immigration and career counselling, decorative concrete, epoxy flooring, and other professional courses.
Matthew called on construction companies, hotels, hospitals, care homes, and training institutions to partner with FCBS in reducing unemployment.
A physical training session is scheduled to hold next month in Lagos, with a limited number of scholarship slots available through the Fdmlearn Foundation. The scholarships are targeted at women and low-income applicants seeking to acquire employable skills.
