Nigerian Air Force Opens 2025 Recruitment for Basic Military Training

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has commenced online registration for its Basic Military Training Course (BMTC) 46/2025, inviting eligible Nigerians to apply for enlistment as airmen and airwomen.

In a statement signed by Air Vice Marshal A.H. Bakari on behalf of the Chief of the Air Staff, NAF said the free application process will run from 14 October to 25 November 2025 via the official portal — www.nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng.

Applicants are advised to read and follow all instructions carefully before submission. Successful candidates must print out the Acknowledgment Form, Parent/Guardian Consent Form, and Local Government Area (LGA) Attestation Form.

The attestation form must be endorsed by a recognised authority such as a military officer (not below Wing Commander), a police officer (minimum rank of Chief Superintendent), a local government chairman or secretary, or a magistrate. Each form must include the signee’s passport photo and valid ID.

NAF warned that incomplete or inaccurate applications would be disqualified.

To qualify, candidates must be Nigerian citizens and meet medical, physical, and psychological standards. Male applicants must be at least 1.66 metres tall and females 1.63 metres.

For non-trades applicants, the age limit is 18–22 years, with a minimum of five credits in not more than two sittings, including English and Mathematics, in WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB, or NBAIS.

For tradesmen/women, the age limit is 18–27 years, with a National Diploma (ND) or NCE (minimum lower credit), plus the same credit requirements. Driving applicants must possess valid trade test certificates and driver’s licences.

Sports applicants must provide verifiable records such as certificates or medals. All applicants must have clean criminal records.

The Zonal General Aptitude Test date will be announced later, and only candidates who pass it will be invited for the final interview.
