Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to prioritising workers’ welfare.
Speaking on Thursday at a welcome-back rally held in his honour at the Government Secretariat, Abere, Adeleke assured workers that his government would remain steadfast in fulfilling its campaign promises.
“For this show of love, I can tell you that you haven’t seen anything yet. I am your governor, and I will make your welfare a priority,” he said.
The governor also announced plans to launch the Imole Soft Loan Scheme, designed to ease the financial burdens of workers in the state.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) in Osun, Dr.Nathaniel Ogungbami, explained that the rally was organised to welcome the governor from his short vacation. He pledged that the union would continue to support Adeleke’s administration in recognition of its worker-friendly policies.
Similarly, the Chairman of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) in the state, Abiola Fasai, promised sustained support for the governor, adding that workers would reciprocate Adeleke’s commitment to their welfare during future elections.
