The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced the commencement of its Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) 34/2025 enlistment, inviting qualified graduates and postgraduates across various professions to apply.
In a notice shared on its official X handle, the NAF stated that the recruitment process is free of charge and that applications will be accepted online between 27 August and 7 October 2025.
Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth and meet the Force’s medical, physical, and psychological requirements. The age limit is set between 20 and 32 years, except for medical doctors, who may apply up to the age of 40. Serving personnel are not eligible, except those with at least 10 years of service who obtain formal recommendations from their Commanding Officers.
Candidates must hold a minimum of a Second-Class Lower Division for degree holders or a Lower Credit for HND holders, in addition to five credit passes at SSCE, including English and Mathematics. They must also present NYSC discharge certificates or exemption letters. For medical applicants, full registration with relevant professional bodies is compulsory.
Furthermore, applicants are required to print and submit acknowledgement, consent, and local government attestation forms endorsed by authorised officials, such as senior military or police officers, local government executives, or magistrates.
The NAF emphasised that shortlisted candidates will sit a zonal aptitude test on a date to be announced, followed by selection interviews for successful applicants. It reiterated that no financial payment is required at any stage, and only online applications submitted through the official recruitment portal will be considered.
