A new digital verification platform, Identigo, has been launched in Nigeria to enhance trust, strengthen security, and support informed decision-making in recruitment and other sensitive processes.
The Executive Director of Identigo, Ms. Olabusayo Soetan,, announced the launch in a statement issued in Lagos on Friday. The unveiling event took place in Lekki, Lagos, and was attended by stakeholders from both the public and private sectors.
Soetan explained that Identigo was developed in response to increasing demand for preventive security, particularly in areas such as employment verification and document authentication. “This is more than a product launch; it is a mission to restore confidence in our systems,” she said.
She added that the platform delivers reliable background checks to assist individuals, organisations, and government agencies in verifying the authenticity of identities, certificates, land documents, and more.
“Identigo prioritises preventive security over reactive measures, enabling users to access credible information that helps guard against fraud, misjudgements, and other risks,” Soetan stated.
