Mrs. Funke Adepoju has officially assumed office as the Director-General of the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON), pledging to lead with transparency, humility, and vision.
She arrived at ASCON’s Topo campus in Badagry on Wednesday to a warm reception by staff and local dignitaries, including traditional dancers and community leaders.
Addressing staff, Adepoju stressed her commitment to building on the college’s legacy of excellence in public service training, research, and consultancy.
“I come not with all the answers, but with curiosity and the desire to understand this institution from the people who run it daily,” she said. “I will lead with openness and discipline, and I ask for your commitment to teamwork and integrity.”
Adepoju acknowledged the sacrifices made by staff and promised to foster a supportive work environment.
In his remarks, former Acting DG Mr. Ayodele Eniayejuni welcomed her, noting ASCON’s national importance and diverse workforce.
Director of Studies, Dr. Kolawole Alagbe, also pledged the staff’s full cooperation during her tenure.
