
The Katsina State Police Command has promoted and decorated 589 officers, urging them to remain professional and committed to upholding law and order.
At a ceremony held on Monday in Katsina, Commissioner of Police Mr. Bello Shehu oversaw the decorations, which included promotions across several ranks. Among the beneficiaries were three officers elevated to the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), as well as promotions from Corporal to Sergeant and from Sergeant to Inspector.
CP Shehu praised the promoted officers for their discipline and dedication to duty, describing their elevation as a reward for merit and service.
He urged the newly promoted officers to continue serving with integrity and respect for the rule of law, noting that the new ranks come with added responsibilities and expectations.
He also thanked Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun and the Police Service Commission (PSC) for their continued support, noting that such gestures boost morale within the force.
Speaking on behalf of the promoted officers, ACP Abdullahi Muhammad-Dattijo expressed appreciation for the recognition and pledged their continued commitment to the core values of the Nigeria Police Force.
The event was attended by senior officers, family members, and well-wishers.
